GREENSBORO, N.C.– Stoneville-based Gerbing is considering a move to Greensboro.
The city is considering giving Gerbing, which specializes in heated high-tech clothing, $150,000 in incentives to relocate to the city.
The company plans to create 25 jobs over a three-year period in a variety of fields such as marketing and engineering, and will require 5,800 square feet for office and retail space.
Gerbing President Tom Nolan describes his brand as “wearable technology.”
“It’s like our old manufacturing with a high-tech brand,” Nolan said.
The average salary is expected to be around $75,000.
Greensboro City Council is expected to consider the incentives in August. Gerbing could move to Greensboro shortly after.
