GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are searching for an SUV and its driver after a hit and run sent a woman and her limo driver to the hospital on Saturday.

Monica McDaniel, 30, is at Moses Cone Hospital recovering from a number of injuries she received in the accident.

“I have a broken nose, ribs, leg, and a punctured lung,” McDaniel said.  “I mean, how could you do this to somebody?”

McDaniel says she was in her driveway on Immanuel Road when the SUV came down the street.  McDaniel said she was talking to her limo driver, who had just picked her up from a Halloween party, when the SUV went off the roadway and struck her. The impact knocked McDaniel into the street, after which police said the SUV struck her again.

While driving away, police said the SUV also struck the limo driver, Clyde Bailey Jr.

The SUV was last seen heading west on Immanuel Road.

As for Bailey, his injuries consist of a broken leg and a blood clot in his stomach.

Bailey owns Fantasy Limousines Incorporated and has pushed for tougher laws for drivers speeding on Immanuel Road.

“I mean to hit both of us and keep going — it’s just not right,” Bailey said.

Police believe the suspect vehicle may have rims with LED lights.

Bailey is offering his own $1,000 reward.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at (336) 373-1000.
